Google tries its cars

Google has announced the launch of experiences of Self-Driving Cars on public roads during this summer, and revealed that it has adopted new amendments to the cars, included adding steering wheel and brakes.

and Engineers will operate 25 models of cars that designed by Google through using the same program that used in the multi-purpose sport car Lexus RX 450h which is developed by Google as well.

The company said in a blog post that experiments were conducted on self-driving of these new cars for a distance exceeded 16 thousand kilometers per week in recent months.

 When Google announced a year ago its intention to design a fleet of self-driving cars, the project manager "Chris Urmson" said that the model of the new car  "will not have a steering wheel or fuel pedal or brake pedal .. because there is no need for it."

However,Urmson confirmed that the car models that will be built in Roche Industries in Detroit, will be equipped with Steering wheel demountable and installation,fuel pedal,brake pedal to enable engineers experiences to drive it "if necessary".

Google described the model of its new car which nine two persons as "the first car in the world fully self-driving ".

It explained that it will test in this car ,also,new techniques to protect occupants and pedestrians, including : a flexible interface and flexible windshield,and Google said that the speed of new cars models would be limited to forty kilometers per hour "to reduce the likelihood of exposure to severe injuries" in case of a collision.
